2011 NASA Student Symposium
The Oregon Space Grant's 2011 NASA Student Syposium, hosted by Oregon State University on November 4, 2011, drew quite a crowd this year. The morning poster session, featuring posters from OSGC funded graduate fellows, NASA student interns, and student science and engineering competition teams, offered students an excellent opportunity to hone their discussion skills while sharing their work.
The afternoon presentation schedule was packed with interesting PowerPoints. The topics ranged from pure astronomy, to rover design, biofuels, and the study of the origins of life. Participant feedback was positive and students were excited to have the opportunity to practice their conference skills in a slightly smaller setting.
