The Oregon NASA Space Grant Consortium (OSGC) is pleased to provide students attending our member colleges and universities an opportunity to apply for scholarship and fellowship awards that will support their academic study in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and STEM education and recognize their achievements in these fields. The OSGC Scholarship and Fellowship Program supports the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) objectives of fostering and encouraging careers in STEM and STEM education and developing a diverse and capable next-generation workforce. Women and individuals from underrepresented groups in the STEM fields are strongly encouraged to apply.

Awards are open to a broad range of STEM disciplines. In addition to the traditional aerospace-related fields of engineering and mathematics, diverse fields of study including but not limited to earth sciences, chemistry, biology, food science, and computer science are also eligible. Applicants will need to demonstrate how their field of study relates to the NASA Vision and the activities of the various Mission Directorates: Aeronautics Research, Human Exploration and Operations, Science, and Space Technology.

A total of $75,000 will be awarded in the 2018-19 OSGC Scholarship/Fellowship Program. Scholarships and fellowships are one-year awards, paid in two disbursements over the academic year. The following scholarships are available for the 2018-19 Academic Year*: 

  • Community College Scholarships: Up to twenty-one (21), $1,000 awards will be offered. Online Application 
  • Undergraduate Scholarships: Up to thirteen (13), $3,000 awards will be offered. Online Application 
  • Undergraduate Research Fellowships: Up to three (3), $5,000 awards will be offered. Online Application
