Oregon Science Teachers Association
OSTA is a state chapter of the National Science Teachers Association comprised of local teachers who are interested in all levels of science education.
Its purpose is to encourage, promote, and assist in improving science teaching and learning throughout the state. Approximately 500 in-service and pre-service educators attend the OSTA annual conference and expo. OSGC collaborates with NASA's Aerospace Education Services Program and the Oregon NASA Explorer schools to provide an exhibit booth at the conference.

Space Radiation Newsletter is the newsletter of the Space Radiation Health Project whos goal is to achieve human exploration and development of space without exceeding an acceptable level of risk from exposure to space radiation. Published semi-annually.
Space Nutrition is the newsletter of the Nutritional Biochemistry Laboratory. Nutrition is central to the health and safety of our space explorers, helping to counteract physiological adaptations and improving the quality of life in space. Some of the operational issues related to space flight are nutritional content, microbial monitoring, and food packaging, preparation, and storage. This newsletter is appropriate for kids.
Central Western Oregon Science Expo
OSGC participates annually in the Central Western Oregon Science Expo (CWOSE). This year the expo met on Friday February 28 at Oregon State University and Linn Benton Community College. CWOSE was sponsored by Intel Corporation. This year featured 85 high and middle school posters competitions attracting more than 300 participants including students, teachers, representatives from colleges and universities, and the general public.
Intel Northwest Science Expo
OSGC particpates annually in the Northwest Science Expo held at Portland State University. The Intel Northwest Science Expo is the Intel International Science and Engineering and the Discovery Channel Young Scientist Challenge Affiliated State level Science Fair for Oregon, Clark County Washington and some neighboring California counties. The ISEF International Fair brings more than 1500 students from more than 40 nations together to compete for scholarships, tuition grants, internships, scientific field trips, and the grand prize - a $50,000 college scholarship.
