Introduction: 

The Portland State Aerospace Society (PSAS) is an open source and extremely interdisciplinary student group and lab in the Portland State University Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science. Our teams use systems engineering best practices to build sophisticated amateur rockets, liquid fuel engines, and nanosatellites. Position Description: 

Lead software development position to oversee LV3.1 avionics, OreSat0.5 sotware and firmware, and test equipment software.

Position Responsibilities: 

"This internship will be an intense, hands-on systems engineering and management position. You will help manage interdisciplinary teams of students and develop systems-of-systems including rocket recovery systems, satellite attitude control systems, and hardware-in-the-loop testing systems. You will oversee computer science students working on PSAS projects and teach software engineering best practices to PSAS students. You will work directly with students working on all PSAS software projects and oversee the software aspects of the PSAS aerospace lab. You will work closely with faculty advisor and experienced industry advisors."

Required/Preferred Qualifications: 

Computer science or computer engineering major sophomore or higher, extensive experience with open source software development on Linux, team leadership experience, and hands-on experience designingand mainting software infrastructure.
