The Bend Brew Cycle Tour
Bend, Oregon is known far and wide for cycling and even farther and wider for world-class microbreweries. Cycle Pub gives you an opportunity to enjoy these two passions, and create an experience you and your fellow riders will never forget. It's a non-traditional bike, where you sit and pedal in a non-traditional way, and enjoy non-traditional beverages. Our best description...it's a rolling pub on wheels that you pedal! There are 10 pedaling seats, 2 passive bike seats plus a comfy bench for two more on the back. Cycle Pub features include adjustable seats, cup holders, overhead storage bins for your personal items, and cool mood lighting!
Duration: 2 hour tour - stop at as many or as few breweries as the group decides.

Pine Mountain Observatory
Take a VIP Tour of Pine Mountain Observatory (PMO), a University of Oregon owned and operated astronomical observatory, located at 6400 feet near the summit of Pine Mountain. PMO is home to four telescopes, a 32” reflector with a prime focus camera used for research, a 24” reflector that is used for public/educational outreach and research programs, a fully-restored 15” antique reflector that is used for public outreach programs, and a 14” reflector that is setup to be remotely controlled from the UO campus in Eugene. The event will include an all-access tour of the facility and the opportunity to observe the sky while public volunteers and UO students operate the telescopes for one of our weekly “Public Night Programs”.
This event is dependent on weather conditions at the summit. Jackets and closed toe shoes are recommended. The last 8 miles to the observatory follow a hard pack dirt road with an elevation gain of roughly 1500 feet. The road conditions are at times very rough with “washboard” bumps often present. Please take this into consideration if you are driving a personal vehicle to PMO. Transportation provided.
Plan: Travel from Bend approximately 35 miles one-way to Pine Mountain, return to Bend after the tour of the facility and nighttime observing.
Transportation:
Vans will be provided from Riverhouse to PMO. Due to bumpy road conditions, it is not recommended to take rental cars or low clearance vehicles.
Time: 5:30 – 11:30pm
Cost: $65 per person
