Project Description
NASA's EAP and SCEPTOR electrified aircraft programs. The OSU's DBF aircraft was designed for short take off, featured a maximum wingspan of 6 ft and a maximum take-off weight of 16 lbs. The resultant design incorporated a twin-engine, push-pull configuration, with each motor optimized for different stages of flight. Selective control over each engine provided the pilot the thrust required for short take-off without sacrificing efficiency during cruise for longer endurance.
