Currently, our military faces exposure to hazardous toxins, such as chemical agents and radiation, with current gear offering insufficient protection. The Tactical Gauntlet is a wearable gauntlet, designed for comfort and functionality in situations that require environmental feedback and quick-access tools. In this paper, a comprehensive single-arm design with properties including survival and safety tools will be presented. This design relies on muscle sensors to trigger the majority of the functions within the device. The proposed device aims to demonstrate the possibilities with a semi-autonomous system that works with the wearer’s biology. The gauntlet has potential for additional features or functions to be tailored for more specific applications, such as space exploration or geological testing.
