WHO:
OSGC affiliate members are invited to attend the Oregon NASA Space Grant Consortium Annual Affiliate Meeting. Each member institution is required to have at least one representative in attendance. Failure to attend affiliate meetings jeopardizes an institution’s membership in the consortium.

WHAT, WHEN and WHERE:
This year’s meeting will be held at the Allen Price Science Commons & Research Library (PSC or Science Library) on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon. PSC is located in and beneath the courtyard between Willamette, Klamath, Cascade, and Onyx Halls at 1344 Franklin Blvd. The Science Library features the Visualization Lab, the DeArmond Maker Space, and the Elements CaFe. We will begin the meeting in the B040 classroom.

Room rate is $110/night plus tax. A block of rooms is on hold until August 22, 2017; please book reservations by this date to guarantee availability and room rate.

There is very limited parking on the UO campus adjacent to PSC. We recommend that you leave your car parked at the hotel and walk to the meeting location across the street. It is approximately half a mile from the hotel to the Science Library. If you are not staying in town and are coming in for the day, we suggest you use the pay parking lot across from campus located on Franklin Blvd between Riverfront Parkway and Onyx Street.

REGISTRATION and FEES:
There is a $40 non-reimbursable registration fee for affiliate members/staff. There is not a registration fee for students who have been invited to present at the meeting. Everyone who plans to attend the meeting must register so that we may obtain an accurate count for catering purposes. Affiliate members and student presenters will be reimbursed for lodging, r/t mileage to Eugene if you live outside of the area, and meals on travel days that are not provided as part of the meeting. The registration fee will not be reimbursed. Guests of meeting attendees are welcome to attend; if guests choose to participate in meals associated with the meeting, those meal expenses will not be covered by OSGC. Guest registration fees are as follows and should be paid at time of affiliate registration:

  • Full guest registration (meeting meals/snacks and Thursday dinner) - $100
  • Thursday dinner only - $60
