The Portland State Aerospace Society (PSAS) is an open source and extremely interdisciplinary student group and lab in the Portland State University Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science. Lead electrical and computer engineering position to oversee LV3.1 amateur rocket systems (electromechanical recovery system) and all OreSat0.5 systems.
This internship will be an intense, hands-on systems engineering and management position. You will help manage interdisciplinary teams of students anddevelop systems-of-systems including rocket recovery systems, satellite attitude control systems, and hardware-in-the-loop testing systems. You will oversee electrical and computer engineering students working on PSAS projects, teach ECAD (i.e., KiCAD) and ECAD best practices to PSAS students. You will work directly with students working on all PSAS electrical projects and oversee the electrical aspects of the PSAS aerospace lab. You will work closely with faculty advisor and experienced industry advisors.
Electrical engineering major sophomore or higher, extensive experience with KiCAD electrical CAD, team leadership experience, and hands-on experience designing, fabricating, and testing electrical systems.
