The goal of this internship was to create a three-day workshop that covered the human and ecosystem impacts of climate change, climate advocacy, and science-informed art activities. A secondary goal was to create a template for workshops in the future. Each day had a different main topic covered: urban areas, agriculture, and ecosystems respectively. My main tasks were to create a presentation and activities based on the impacts of climate change on agriculture, as well as flyers and certificates to be sent to participants. The presentation and activities were made to adhere to the NEXT Generation Science Standards, highlight the Earth Science Missions at NASA, and be fun and engaging to the participants. The workshop was largely a triumph, and the participants clearly had an enjoyable time. The successes and shortcomings that were made will help shape any workshops to come for the better.
