Project Description
OreSat is an open source CubeSat project aiming to create a standardized and scalable bus. Open source projects require open source mechanical CAD documents and 3D representations of the satellite to aid in development of the program. This talk describes the methods and outcomes of setting up a CAD workspace to optimize workflow and allow multiple interdisciplinary teams to quickly get info they need. This talk will show how parameters, formulas and relationships can be used to automate design as well as how branching and version control can be used to optimize the workflows of a project like OreSat that has many contributors.
