Project Description

OreSat Live is a subsystem of the 2U CubeSat Mission, OreSat, with the intent to stream live video of the earth below while the CubeSat is in orbit. OreSat Live works collaboratively with local high schools to build their own functional and affordable handheld ground stations to view the orbital video stream. This past year, the OreSat team focused on further development of this subsystem: completing a necessary revision to the satellite payload, first power on test of the handheld ground station, revision of the handheld ground station, and further development of the transmitter and receiver firmware. This was completed by an interdisciplinary group working and collaborating with their particular specialty. This system is on track to be complete for a March 2023 handoff.
