OSGC affiliate members, invited guests, and presenters are welcome to attend the Oregon NASA Space Grant Consortium Annual Affiliate Meeting.

WHAT, WHEN and WHERE:
This year’s meeting will be held at the Sunriver Resort located at 17600 Center Drive, Sunriver, Oregon 97707 in Sunriver, Oregon, 15 miles southwest of Bend.

Thursday evening’s dinner will be at Greg’s Grill located at 395 SW Powerhouse Drive, Bend, Oregon 97702, in the Historic Old Mill District along the Deschutes River. For those who choose to participate, the Pine Mountain Observatory tour will depart after dinner at 6:30 pm from the Old Mill District parking lot near Greg’s Grill. There will be vans to take everyone to PMO; personal cars may be left parked in the Old Mill District parking lot until the vans return at approximately 10:30 pm. If you choose to drive your own car to PMO, please be aware that you will be traveling part way on a dirt road. PMO is approximately an hour from Bend. All other meeting activities will be held at the Sunriver Resort.          

ACCOMMODATIONS:
A block of Lodge Village Guestrooms has been reserved at the rate of $89/night. You must make your own lodging accommodations. Please contact the resort directly at 1-800-547-3922 and mention Oregon NASA Space Grant to make reservations at the group rate. The resort does require the first night’s stay to be paid at the time the reservation is made. Reservations must be made no later than Tuesday, August 12, 2014. The group room rate and/or room availability will not be guaranteed after August 12th.

Sunriver offers a variety of activities: 63 holes of golf, bike rentals with 35 miles of paved paths, marina with boat rentals, float trips and paddleboards, the Sage Springs Club and Spa, horseback riding, 27 tennis courts, trails, ropes course, shopping, 4 pools, 8 hot tubs, and more. We hope you will find a little extra time to enjoy the resort.

REGISTRATION and FEES:
There is no registration fee for affiliate members, invited guests, or presenters who are attending the meeting. All affiliate members, invited guests, and presenters must register so that we may obtain an accurate count for catering purposes. Affiliate members, invited guests, and presenters will be reimbursed for lodging, r/t mileage to Sunriver, and meals on travel days that are not provided as part of the meeting. Guests of meeting attendees are welcome to enjoy the Sunriver resort amenities; if guests choose to participate in meals associated with the meeting, those meal expenses will not be covered by OSGC. Guest registration fees are as follows and should be paid at time of registration:

  • Thursday dinner - $50
  • Friday dinner - $60
  • All meals (Thurs dinner, Fri breakfast/lunch/dinner, Sat breakfast) - $240
    There are several restaurants on site if guests choose not to participate in all meals.
